I learned about this internship through a friend — he described how he was spending his summer learning how to scribe, running weekend clinics, removing surgical staples, and learning about the administrative side of medicine. The opportunity sounded perfect to me, since I was looking to gain meaningful clinical experience. I ended up applying for the following summer.

I applied for academic credit through a form on the Registrar’s website.

Now that you are finished with the Internship, what would you tell another person from your school about this Internship?

Being a part of this practice has truly deepened my passion for medicine — I’ve learned so much by assisting Dr. Yoo and Kaye with essential medical procedures, observing their interactions with different patients, and learning from their approach to healthcare. This internship is ideal for anyone looking to gain in-depth clinical experience by scribing, shadowing fascinating neurosurgeries, building key leadership competencies, and understanding the administrative aspects of medicine.
